Mark grew up in Greeley, Colorado and graduated from Platte Valley High School in 1984. He received his Nursing Degree from ASU in 1996 and worked as an RN for 2 years. In 1999, Mark found his true passion, interior design. He received a degree in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College and eventually started his own design firm, Mark Bowland Interiors.
Mark was an athlete and loved spending time outdoors, either at the beaches of Hawaii or on the ski slopes of the Colorado Rockies. He enjoyed running, biking and swimming and loved to travel. He spent his life in the pursuit of beauty.
Mark is survived by his life partner and soul mate, Ed Shaufler; his parents, Norman and Betty Bowland of Otis, CO; his brother, Mike Miller and wife Terri of Gunnison, CO; brother, Larry Lecroy and wife Jamie of Stockbridge, GA; sister, Vickie Anderson and husband Bob of Stockbridge, GA; sister, Paula Reynolds and husband Bruce of Amarillo, TX; sister Karen Bowland of TN; sister Traci Walters and husband, Steve of Olathe, KS; and sister Jody Gilloth and husband Chad, of Castle Rock, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
